    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Patrick,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;you are right, as I have had contact with Canon Germany in the meantime. Image Garden seems not able to do the scanning at least for MG5350. Therefore: The website of Canon is creating a wrong impression as if Image Garden is the allround new solution. But on the other hand they indeed list Canon MP Navigator at the bottom of this page (&lt;STRONG&gt;go to Windows 10 - 64bit&lt;/STRONG&gt;)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.canon.de/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_mg_series/pixma_mg5350.aspx?type=download&amp;amp;language=&amp;amp;os=Windows%2010%20(64-bit" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.canon.de/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_mg_series/pixma_mg5350.aspx?type=download&amp;amp;language=&amp;amp;os=Windows%2010%20(64-bit&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, in my case I need &lt;STRONG&gt;Canon Easy-PhotoPrint for printing on CDs and Canon MP Navigator EX for scanning&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For me &lt;STRONG&gt;Image Garden&lt;/STRONG&gt; is useless.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;OK, I have &lt;STRONG&gt;wasted a lot of time&lt;/STRONG&gt; but have clarified things a bit I hope so that others who may read this may have less trouble.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you and kindest regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Carlos44&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Canon MG5350 - Scanner software</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the printer has been working fine using my previous laptop.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Having a new laptop I have the problem that the previous software for scanning (&lt;STRONG&gt;Canon MP Navigator EX 5.0&lt;/STRONG&gt;) does not seem to be available anymore. Instead I am supposed to use&lt;STRONG&gt; My Image Garden&lt;/STRONG&gt;. So I have installed this and at first sight it looks good. But trying my first scan presents me with a&amp;nbsp; bad surprise. Starting the software the icon for scanning is grey (see the image hereafter). I found no way to solve that problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Anybody out there to assist?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I guess it would be possible to install Canon MP Navigator EX 5.0 again but would that be advisable?       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Patrick,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thank you very much, you presented the perfect solution!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In the meantime I had contacted the German support of Canon and was surprised how easy that was, fantastic service! But, after that I was not so happy.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;They had sent me a mail advising in detail that I should uninstall and thereafter reinstall the software using links they had provided. I carefully followed their advice but without success! The result was the same as before, the scanning function was not available. So I did as you suggested and leave it as it is.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Conclusion: &lt;STRONG&gt;The website of Canon is wrong&lt;/STRONG&gt;, which does not list &lt;STRONG&gt;Canon MP Navigator EX 5.0&lt;/STRONG&gt; as software for the Printer &lt;STRONG&gt;MG5350&lt;/STRONG&gt; instead is pointing to &lt;STRONG&gt;Image Garden&lt;/STRONG&gt; which is supposed to have replaced previous software.
