    <description>&lt;P&gt;Same here with my brand new Pixma G6020, I have to keep a flashlight near the printer to read the LCD.&amp;nbsp; Even when the first LCD watches came out over 30 years ago they had a button to backlight the display.&amp;nbsp; Substandard on what otherwise appears to me to be an excellant product.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi James_C,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for respond to my emergency call.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately, I all-ready did contact Canon Europe but they have no solution at all for this problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Their Answer is 'if LCD-screen is not 'On' &amp;nbsp;than &amp;nbsp;'LCD-screen is in Screen Protection Modus'.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Again forwarded question to explain where to find "Screen Protection Mode" to be able to reset tis modus.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;No Answer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We experience that Canon Europe is not one of the friendlies and help-full Suppliers is they-are supposed to be.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Our question also posted at Google Netherlands but so-fare no reaction.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyway, thanks for yours kind advice.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;AdamSmith 1775 (Albert)&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;It is now 2020, and I have the same problem. I cannot see the LCD on my Canon Pixma 492. I always have to use a flashlight to read it as there is no light at all. If anyone has a solution, I would greatly appreciate it. I haven't found a solution anywhere.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
