    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi mdogg16,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The PIXMA MP280 requires both a color and black ink cartridge be installed in the printer in order to print; a black ink cartridge cannot be used in the color ink cartridge slot.&amp;nbsp; Should&amp;nbsp;the color ink cartridge run out of ink, you can set the&amp;nbsp;printer to print using only the black ink cartridge in the unit from within the printer driver.&amp;nbsp; To do this, please follow the steps shown &lt;A href="https://support.usa.canon.com/infocenter/index?page=content&amp;amp;id=ART153827" target="_blank"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt; if using a Windows computer, or &lt;A href="https://support.usa.canon.com/infocenter/index?page=content&amp;amp;id=ART100704" target="_blank"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt; if using a Mac.&amp;nbsp; Hope this helps!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have two questions: 1) Can I print using black ink only when my color cartridge is depleted? 2) Can I replace my color cartridge with a black ink cartridge?
