      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks you for your reply, but surely if it was the encoder strip it will affect all ink and not only the pigment ink. Black Dye Ink, for example, printouts show no printing anomalies.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also getting to the encoder strip on this printer is all but impossible as you cannot open the lid where you load the ink far enough. Can you give me a link to a service manual?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Bazzer</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have the same problem. It is only the black printing head wich give troubles.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Canon said it is the cleaning strip. That is not possible. The line with the grid wil be printed in one strike so than al the grid lines must be doubled. The middel is the worst&amp;nbsp; and at each end it is printing correct.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I expected an answer from canon&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I used hot and cold water in turns to clean the heads, so the expanding and shrinking air is breaking up any clots, but obviouls it should not be too hot - now I got two print heads with this exact problem! I am afraid this is a total loss...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;hi, You can switch your printer to use only the color black cartridge instead of the large black cartridge.&amp;nbsp; This is a work around but pages print slower.&amp;nbsp; I think you can purchase a new print head but that fairly expensive not sure it is worth it, not sure it will fix it either. Or purchase a new printer with the new expensive ink.&amp;nbsp; We are printing using the black color cartridge for now since we do not print that much.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
