      <title>MG2540 PIXMA - NO SCANNER FACILITY</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Folks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Had my MG2540 for a few years and it prints fine. Now I need to use it as a scanner also.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However,&amp;nbsp; I cannot find the Cannon IJ Scan Utility mentioned in the manual. It does not show under Cannon Utilities on my Start Menu, and on the Quick Menu the Scan table is blank.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can anyone help?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ian&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have emailed the local (South African) support. No reply yet.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, am I wrong in assuming that that it is simply a variant of the basic MG 2500 and that the supposedly embedded scanner capability would be standard?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ian White&lt;/P&gt;</description>
