Cannot install software on Mac OS High Sierra Beta

My MX870 finally bit the dust so I needed a new printer> I bought the TS9020 and started to install it. When I run the "Start Setup" I get "Informatrion Aquisition Error Failed to aquire information on the driver and software. Check the network conneciton and try again" My wifi is fine. There's nothing wrong with it.

It makes it to 12/16 then stops or just doesn't even try to download. I should not have to go back to Sierra to install a printer.

Well i got the standard reply from Cannon they don't suppprt beta softsare which I can understand but it won't even work at all. Stuck using Air Print until High Sierra goes final.
