I've seen an old message with this same problem, but tried the solution (to print a test page--but it wouldn't even light up the alarm light) no result for me.

When I plug in the printer, only the 4 x 6 photo paper light is on, and if I press the 'on' button, it will light, but the printer does nothing.

The ink cartridges are stuck all the way to the right and can't be removed.

I have tried reinstalling the current drivers from the Canon website.

I've tried setting it back up wirelessly, didn't work, then with the USB--and nothing.

I've removed plugs, waited, plugged back in and even changing electrical outlets in the house.

Nothing I've tried has helped, it is just like it is frozen. So if there's anyone out there with a suggestion, I'd appreciate it.

Windows 10 if it matters.

Thanks.
