Pixma MG6821 cannot be used with current operating system?

I just got a new printer since my old one died. It's the Pixma MG5621. Setting it up was easy, until i tried ot connect it to my computer and install the drivers. I have a mac running Mac OS X 10.6.8 . When I try to install the drivers, I get the error: This program cannot be used with the current operating system. Is there anything I can do?

Hi ktshaka,

The PIXMA MG6821 cannot be used with Mac OS X v10.6.8. To use your PIXMA MG6821 with your Mac, the operating system must be updated to at least v10.7.5.

I'm on MAC High Sierra v10.13.5

I'm still getting the same error message when running the setup. Any other suggestions?
