    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bought an MG3170 printer -with cartridges &amp;nbsp;CL-741 &amp;amp; PG-740- while living in Asia.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Moved to Europe in the mean time and in need for cartridges: the 74x-series are not available here.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can I use the&amp;nbsp;CL-541 &amp;amp; PC-540 cartridges in the MG3170 printer instead?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your reply.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

This means that if your printer were manufactured for use in Asia, the ink tanks would also need to come from Asia. Because your printer model is not a model that we support here at Canon USA, you might want to get in touch with your local Canon office to verify this. You can find their contact information by visiting this page:&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="http://global.canon/en/support/" target="_blank"&gt;http://global.canon/en/support/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Once you're there, click on your current region, then country. You should find contact information for support listed on that page. They will be able to verify whether the ink tanks sold in your current country will be compatible with the printer from Asia.
