I recently upgraded the OS on my MacPro to 10.12.3 Sierra.

Initially my scanner did not function at all so I downloaded a more up to date driver from Canon that indicatde it was for Sierra and it now works with Canon IJ Scan Utility but I have now discovered that none of the buttons on the scanner function. I had been using the "Scan" button on the scanner a lot in conjuction with my Pixma IP 7250 printer printing "through" the Mac but it no longer works! Help?

Hi Stilbiteman,

Due to a change in the OS specifications, scanning using the buttons on the scanner is not available when it is used under the Sierra operating system; scanning will need to be initiated from your Mac.
