MX535 Photos being printed too bright

Hi all
Recently I got a new printer, MX535, and tried to print photos on it for the first time. I was using Canon photo paper plus glossy 2(4x6in), and was printing the photos from the app.
When the photos came out, they were all printed too bright, and didn't match the colours in the image. I've researched online and haven't been able to find a solution.
Does anyone have any solution for this problem?
