I have MX882. It prints blacks just fine, except when I want to print a b&w letter.

My Pixma 882 prints in black just fine when I am printing a photocopy or a test page, but when I want to simply print a business letter in B&W, it prints only in light purple. I have done deap cleaning of the nozzles and all that and the test pages come out just fine with dark blacks.

All the ink cartridges are full and I have done all the automatic maintenance in the menu. What gives?
