When scan with my Pixma 494 with color setting my document comes with a Silver font. I tried to change settings but did not succeed to solve my problem. Any idea please?

Thank you Stephen for your reply. I understand that Canon models might differ in different countries.
I'm nevertheless hoping that an enduser who encountered similar problem and succeeded to solve it could eventually give me a hint.
