Maintenance and ink supply checked okay. Unable to correct...any recomendation ?

Hi joedee11,

Please try reinstalling your PIXMA MX892 using the latest driver available from Canon's web site. I am not sure if your are using a USB cable or if you are using your PIXMA MX892 wirelessly, so I have given the steps for wireless use. If you are using a USB cable, you can ignore those steps:

1. Right click the Windows Start Menu button in the lower left hand corner and left click Control Panel.

2. Under Programs, click on Uninstall a Program.

3. Click on the Canon MX890 MP Driver and then click Uninstall at the top.

4. Follow the prompts to uninstall the driver.

5. Click on the Canon IJ Network Tool and the click Uninstall at the top.

6. Follow the prompts to uninstall the network tool.

7. Click on the Canon IJ Network Scan Utility and then click Uninstall at the top.

8. Follow the prompts to uninstall the scan utility.

9. Restart the computer once complete.

Please follow these steps to download the necessary files to begin installation once the computer restarts:

1. Visit Canon's website at: http://usa.canon.com/support

2. Type PIXMA MX892 in the "Enter a Model Name" box and click GO.

3. In the Drivers & Downloads section, please click on Drivers.

4. Click the Select button next to the MX890 series MP Driver.

5. If you agree, please select the checkbox next to "I have read and agree to the terms of the Disclaimer and wish to continue with the download".

6. Click the Download button.

7. If a Save dialog box appears, click Save.

8. Press the <Menu> button on your PIXMA MX892.

9. Use the arrow buttons to select the Wireless LAN setup icon.

10. Press the <OK> button.

11. Select Other Setup and press <OK>.

12. Select Advanced Setup and press <OK>.

13. Select your access point and press <OK>.

14. Select your security type and press <OK>.

15. Select the number you want to use and press <OK>.

16. On the wireless password screen, press <OK>.

17. Enter your password and press <OK>. Please verify this, as it is case sensitive and if entered incorrectly, will cause the printer and router to not communicate. There are three character sets available, upper case alphabet, lower case alphabet and numbers/symbols. Each time you press the center FUNCTION button, an on-screen keyboard is switched among them. Select a character on the on-screen keyboard using the arrow keys and press OK to enter it. Repeat until all characters are entered. Once complete, press the left FUNCTION button.

18. Press the left <Function> button.

19. Make sure that the password that was entered is correct and press the left <Function> button.

20. When found, press <OK> on the Connected to the access point screen.

21. Back on the computer, open the Downloads folder.

22. Double click [mp68-win-mx890-1_03-ea24.exe] to begin installation.
