Installation process Canon PIXMA MP620 is not recognised

I am having to reinstall the drivers for the PIXMA MP620 printer. But in this process, it does not recognise that the printer is connected to to the computer USB. That is where there installation process gets stuck.

I have already tried rebooting the computer, restrting the printer, and repeating the intstallation process from the beginning. Still no avail.

What could be the problem, and is there a solution? Please let me know.
