I recently purchased a Pixma MX922, replacing a Pixma MX 882

I use a phone with a built in answering machine, and use a facility called "answer anywhere" (provided by my phone company) that allows my landline to ring twice at "home" and then forwards to a specified number (my cell). If unanswered, after 4 rings, it returns to the "home" phone.

At this point, the call will go to my answering machine

This worked perfectly with the old printer, but now, with the Pixma MX922, when it "returns" to the "home" phone, it goes to the fax, skipping the answering machine

I have tried all options from the fax setiings and advanced settings, to no avail

At this point, I would even like to be able to turn off the fax function, so the call would go straight back to my home phone, and the answering machine, but cannot find how to do that, without dic=sconnecting from the phone line

Any help greatly appreciated
