pixma MG7150 error 1008 paper feed is empty when it is not

Hi everyone,

Any help or guidance please on my printer problem would be much appreciated.

I have the Pixma MG7150 version and has been working ok (apart from not collating above 150gsm!) but apart from that ok, so this afternoon it has just stopped feeding the paper from the tray saying the tray is empty, load paper. Error code 1008

I have been working with the same paper, during the morning, but it will no longer accept it.

I have performed the cleaning tasks on the printer, and it works on plain copy paper but not the paper i need. I have used a wipe etc to remove any possible dust. There is nothing stuck and I have had the unit unplgged etc for a few hours (just incase it was over heating or something) but still no luck!

Can anyone pleasep oint me in the right direction? The printer is about 18 months old.
