      <title>Scanning to PC not working with Pixma 490</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am unable to scan with my new printer. &amp;nbsp;My old printer scanned just fine. &amp;nbsp;I use wireless, no router. &amp;nbsp;I can print from my PC but do not seem to be set up to scan. &amp;nbsp;Help?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi jbethallen,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Scanning software is included with the printer driver, and scans can be initiated from the computer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Press Windows+S to open a search screen.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Type "IJ Scan Utility" in the search box.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Open IJ Scan Utility.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Press "ScanGear"&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Place your original.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Press "Preview."&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;If you are satisfied with the image, press "Scan" to complete the operation.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;This didn't answer your question or issue?
