topic MX922 Printer Disconnecting in Desktop Inkjet Printers

I just replaced my 3-year old MX922 with a new MX922. The old one would stay on, ready to print, continuously. With the new one, the print connection turns off automatically so that I have to hit the "Copy" button aqgain in order to print. Both were/are connected to the computer by cable. Can I fix this so I don't have to continually hit the "Copy" button?

Hi tedslair,

While your PIXMA MX922 will go into Standby mode after a period of disuse, it should always be available for use regardless of whether it is connected by USB or network. Is the cable you are using Ethernet or USB?

I look forward to your reply.
