      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The LCD display will enter a power saving state if the unit has been unused for an extended period of time.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However, if the display is always blank, or you get no response with the display when the buttons are pressed there may be an issue with the printer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Troubleshooting with our support group will be needed to narrow down the cause of your matter.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, thanks.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have already contacted Canon support and was advised the printerhad a problem. I will be getting a new one and sending the old one back.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Again thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Bob&lt;/P&gt;</description>
