MP145 "The scanner driver supported by this software is not installed. Install it and retry."

I have installed the driver and MP Naviagtor 3.11 for my MP145 Multifuction scanner/printer but when I try to open the MP Navigator it comes up the this error messgae "The scanner driver supported by this software is not installed. Install it and retry."

All I'm trying to do is use my Canon MP 145 to scan and save to my computer and print. I was informed that all the software to scan was included in MP Navigator. This is the second time I've installed it with the same results.

My OS windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

driver installed mp68-win-mp495-1_03-ejs.exe

MP Navigator - mpnwin311ea23-2.exe

Why won't it work?
