I too am having issues. I bought this printer as an offline-only copier (price was very good).

The printed area has approximately 3-4mm top margin, 5mm side margins, and a whopping 17mm bottom margin when used as a copier?

This doesn't really copy 8.5X11 sheets of paper then, does it?

Where is this limitation specified (other than digging online)?

If this is a hardware limitation, I REALLY needed to know that beforehand. Now it looks like I will have to return the printer which now leaves me in a pickle: how do I know what low-cost printer/copier to get now?

Is this a limitation with ALL Canon printers? If not, where is the listing for the "true printed area"?

Hi k1jmf00,

In the PIXMA MG2520, the bottom margin is 16.7 mm and nothing can be printed in that area. To make a copy of the entire paper, you will need to scan the paper using the My Image Garden program on your PC, then print it while adjusting (reducing) its size to fit to the print paper size. When you print using My Image Garden, the data is automatically adjusted to fit to the selected paper size (though the left and right margins are not equal).

Should you need further assistance, please call 1-866-261-9362, Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. ET (excluding holidays) and a Canon technical support representative will be happy to help. There is no charge for this call.
