      <title>Canon MG2920/2922  Won't Scan; Codes 5, 156, 69</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My problems began day before yesterday possibly when we had a freak and nearly instant power failure.&amp;nbsp; The power blipped out for just a few seconds, but long enough to turn off the computer and the Canon MG2920 printer that we have.&amp;nbsp; The power failure may or may not have anything to do with the issues that I am now having.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Later that evening, I powered both the computer and the printer back up to use them.&amp;nbsp; The printer still printed fine, however I could not get it to scan anything.&amp;nbsp; I normally scan our children's school assignments by using the Paint program that comes with Windows XP, but each time I attempted to scan, it did nothing.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thinking that the scanner must have gone bad, I purchased another Canon printer yesterday, the PIXMA MG2922 model.&amp;nbsp; I brought it home and installed it.&amp;nbsp; Before installing it, I removed all the software from the previous Canon.&amp;nbsp; To my surprise, this new Canon is doing the same thing.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have removed and reloaded the driver software several times, all to no avail.&amp;nbsp; It just won't work.&amp;nbsp; Prints fine, but doesn't scan.&amp;nbsp; If I use the Scan Utility program, it gives me the error codes 5, 156, and 69.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My computer is an older Compaq Presario with Windows XP.&amp;nbsp; I have recently cleaned the hard drive and completed a fresh new software install.&amp;nbsp; I use AVG for an antivirus program.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can you help me figure out what is going on with these scanners?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
