I got the same error. Canon support was useless and they toldme to buy a new printer after I tried the fixes they had which didn't work. I even tried cleaning the printhead manually. Still nothing and of course I just loaded up with new ink right before the error hit. The printer was working fine when I suddenly got U052 print head error.

It seems like there are quite a few printers that end up being useless with this error and I think it is a manufacturer defect. They should do something to help us!

Canon just settled class action lawsuit on this problem!!

Canon just settled a class action lawsuit on this issue in June. What about some compensation for the rest of us who were not part of the suit??
