    <description>&lt;P&gt;So after leaving the unresponsive printer unplugged for 24 hrs I tried to plug in and turn on, I got a B200 error, so I read another forum on here about that error. A person said to follow these steps:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;"Here is what worked for me: 1. Turn OFF Power 2. Open the print head bay (as though you were about to change inks) 3. Turn ON power 4. Wait for print carriage to start moving to the left and let it go past half way 5. Before print carriage reaches left hand side (but after going halfway across) shut the cover. 6. Leave the Printer turned on 7. Good to go. It took 2 attempts before it worked. Some people said it took 3-4 attempts. Now, prior to this, I did clean the pads the cartridges sit on and used a qtip to wipe the encoder strip. I`m not sure if it was the combination of those things or just doing the fix."&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;This actaully worked for me without any cleaning &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>My MX892 will not power on</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have had my MX892 printer for about 2.5 years without any issues. Today it will no longer turn on, display do not even light up. However, if I unplug it for a few minutes and then plub it back in and then press the power button and hold it, the display does turn on for less than a second and beeps and then turns off again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there anything I can try to correct this issue?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;On my printer (MX432) a long hold shuts it off. When it is powered down try just pushing and immediately releasing the power button.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>I have but no luck. A long press after having the printer unplugged for a few minutes will turn display on with the Canon logo and a beep but as soon as I let go of the button it turns off. If I try a short press nothing happens.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have the exact same issue - the printer was working fine one morning and then all of a sudden completely shut off. No power, LCD display. Seems like a ploy by Canon to kill the printer after warranty expires if so many of us are having this problem. Time for a Class action!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My Pixma MX 850 has been working for several years since I bought it without problem - today it just decided to power off and will not power on. Was using it this morning and when I came back 30 minutes later, it was powered down and is absolutely dead. Tried unplugging for &amp;nbsp;5 minutes as suggested, but no help. It acts as if there is a short in the unit somewhere as the initial draw when plugging causes arcing at the plug&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ideas?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Our printer SUDDENLY quit as well. &amp;nbsp;There was no change in anything and it simply will not power on.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Other than the fact that Canon printers are an absolute suck of ink costs, this really caps it for me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Call me angry especially seeing when other people suddenly are having the same problem..all at the same time. &amp;nbsp;Wow, what a coincidence!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
