Just purchased a Canon MX-922 today!

Quick question, what's the difference between Scanning from a Computer vs Scanning from the Operation Panel??

Hello, great question!

You will have more advanced options if you scan from the computer, as you are able to launch software that came bundled with the printer to control the process. You have more options, including an "Advanced Mode," where you can further tweak how you want the final scan to look like.
