    <description>&lt;P&gt;Re: Canoscan 4400F paired with VueScan 9.0.89.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I scan graphic documents, a wide, transparent line appears within the scanned document, but this radomly placed line does not appear when photographs are scanned. For example, I have uploaded an image of a map with this posting. This map illustrates a wide vertical line to the left center area of the scanned page. It's important to note that this line "does not" appear on the original paper version of this image.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As such, I don't know why this wide, transparent line appears within various scanned images.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for any tips on how to eliminate this wide, transparent line during the scanning process.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG border="0" align="middle" alt="01 idylwylde map.jpg" src="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/3977i1E88F42FBBAFDB71/image-size/original?v=mpbl-1&amp;amp;px=-1" title="01 idylwylde map.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
