      <description>&lt;P&gt;how fix blank lines on scans using MF5770. &amp;nbsp;Already restarted Win 7 computer and MF5770. &amp;nbsp;Using Windows fax and scan. &amp;nbsp;Several months of successful use before this problem began last couple weeks. &amp;nbsp;9/2014 &amp;nbsp;Thnks for any help&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for your reply chazellpe.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To&amp;nbsp;ensure that the issue is not with the scanning unit of the machine, please make a copy and verify if you experience the same issue with blank lines.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you don't then it indicates that there may be a communication issue between the printer and the computer.&amp;nbsp; Please unplug the USB cable from the computer and the printer.&amp;nbsp; Plug the cable, firmly, back into the printer first, and then plug the USB cable into a different port on the computer.&amp;nbsp; Next, scan a document.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; If the error persists, it is recommended that you change the USB cable.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the issue still appears, after changing the USB cable, please contact us at 1-800-OK-CANON for further assistance.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
