topic Pixma MP495 won't print! in Desktop Inkjet Printers

It worked great until I refilled the ink cartridges. Now the indicators stay orange, the software gives me an error and it won't print. I took the cartridges back to Costco. They weighed them and also printed test pages to prove that they are full. How can I get the printer to recognize that it has ink?

Hello amylittle,

When an ink cartridge is installed, the printer will automatically detect the ink cartridge and update the ink levels accordingly. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that once an ink cartridge has been refilled, it will continue to work in the printer. Sometimes a chip on the ink tank will get damaged during the refill process and will no longer be recognized by the printer. We recommend replacing the refilled ink cartridge with a Canon genuine ink cartridge to try and resolve the issue.

Hope this helps!

This didn't answer your question or issue?
