    <description>&lt;P&gt;Since I had zero replies here and needed to take action, I sprung for a new print head.&amp;nbsp; Unfortunately it helped only marginally, and even after further cleaning of everything possible (without disassembling the printer), I still have the same problem.&amp;nbsp; Unless someone has any last minute suggestions, I guess I'll be forced to buy another printer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do any of you moderators have any suggestions short of professional repair?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Help! I've been using my MX870 printer for a few years now with no problems, but just within one day it started showing ghost images/lines above all text, as shown below.&amp;nbsp; I've tried doing ALL the built in maintenance cleaning functions, as well as a manual print head alignment and prior to that, removing the print head for a total cleaning in warm water until all ran clear.&amp;nbsp; I also cleaned the internal clear horizontal timing strip.
