hello, i seem to be having problems with my printer.

at first it was the error code B200 which i fixed by lifting the cover and letting the carriage go past halfway and then closing the cover. i had to do this twice.

it printed once then started throwing the u052 error

i have tried the steps in this thread

http://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Printer-Multifunction-Support/Error-message-on-my-MX700-Printer-U052-This-type-of-print-head/td-p/5091

and also steps on many other websites.

http://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Personal-Printers/Call-to-Arms-for-the-dreaded-U052-Wrong-Printhead-Error/m-p/65759

and yes, the warranty has recently expired which is convenient

when i remove the print head completely i get a please install print head message.

is there any way to bypass or trick the printer into thinking there is a print head installed so i can use the other functions of the printer
