      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi melbarber,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To try and resolve the issue, please follow these steps:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Disconnect the power cord from both the device and the electrical source.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;After disconnecting the power cord, wait at least five minutes and then reconnect the power cord.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;If you are still unable to obtain power to the device, try another power outlet.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;If possible, try connecting power directly to a wall outlet (as opposed to using a surge protector or power strip...just as a troubleshooting measure).&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the unit still will not power on, it will require servicing; please&amp;nbsp;call or email us at one of the methods on the &lt;A target="_blank" href="http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/standard_display/contact_us_consumer"&gt;Contact Us&lt;/A&gt; page for further assistance.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
