MX882 error code U052

My Pixma MX882 shows error code U052, "The type of print head is incorrect. Install the correct print head." It had been working fine. Now it won't even print a test page and, BTW, I didn't change out the print head. What's wrong here?

As this question has been asked before going back to 2015, I must assume that you don't have a solution. I will be replacing my printer. Probably not a Canon again.
