topic Canon printer problem in Desktop Inkjet Printers

my Canon printer just started printing double images. How can I fix this?

I was away for a week and my printer was left on and now it prints double images. I am self employed and need to use it!!! HELP!!!!

It is MX 470 printer, copier, scanner

I did a quick search and came across this. Although it is for a 432, hopefully this imformation helps as canon printers are assembled relatively simular. 🙂

AMAZING!!! So easy but not somewhere you would look to fix it!!!

When I went to print something it didn't respond to CNTL P the first time so that must have been the message that something was wrong.

I want to finalise my report, but cannot print an acceptable copy due to double imaging - HELP

My canon printer MG6450 is printing one clear line and 3 double blurred when I print texts from my computor. Can you please help me correct this asap ?

Same here with an mx922 printer. I've tried cleaning the timing strip but no luck

Based on your description of the issue that you are experiencing, it would appear as though the encoder/timing strip is dirty and would need to be cleaned. To perform this, please follow the steps outlined in the following Knowledgebase Article available from Canon's web site:
