Multipass MP390 now has printhead stuck to the right. Error message - Check printer - wrong cartridge. When I attempt to use or clean (through additional functions-maintenance) it sounds like the printhead moves, but it doesn't and then I receive a click, click, click noise. Is this printer doomed? Any way to reset the printhead? Will the scanner/fax continue to work if the printer/copier can not?

Thanks Ramona, but turning off and unplugging the printer doesn't do anything. The printhead is still stuck and the horrible clicking noise continues. Where does one go for servicing a Canon printer in the Chicago area? Also, in general, what's the "walk in" fee for repairs? Unfortunately, as with so many items today, it usually costs more to repair something than to buy new.
