I have a Canon Pixma MG 2220. I installed the software successfully onto my apple but it wont print.

I purchased a Canon Pixma MG 2220 a few months ago. I used the inclosed CD to download the software and it told me that it was installed successfully. When I try to print a test page, it says that it is waiting for device and that it is trying to connect but it never does. I have checked the USB to make sure it was plugged in and working and I have reinstalled software from canons website. Nothing has worked. Is that printer compatable with an apple computer?

So that the community has a better overall understanding of your situation, can you please inform us which version of the Mac OS you're using as well as the software you're using to print?
