topic MF8050 scanning issue in Desktop Inkjet Printers

Have a customer of oura who just purchased a new PC, Windows 7 Professional 64bit. Therefor drivers and software for the MF8050 are up to date. Suddenly today when they tried to scan from the control panel of the MF8050 to their PC it came up "connect computer". It is connected to the PC via USB cable and they can print from the PC to it fine. When down there and went to Devices and Printers, right clicked on the device and clicked Scan. With that window open she tried again on the control panel of the device and it worked. Any motion why that would be? Does the scanner time out after a while or go to sleep?

Bob
