Hi hxkim02.

There may be debris built up on the paper pickup roller. I recommend cleaning the document feeder. Please follow the instructions below:

1. Turn off the main power switch and disconnect the power cord.

2. Open the ADF cover.

3. Clean the rollers (A) inside the ADF with a cloth dampened with water. Then wipe the area with a soft, dry cloth.

Do not dampen the cloth too much, as this may tear the document or damage the machine.

4. Close the ADF cover.

Be careful not to get your fingers caught.

5. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the main power switch.

If the error persists, please contact us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) for further assistance.

I've had my printer for about 2 years, and every single time I go to scan something into the feeder, it squeaks really loudly. I have tried cleaning the printer to the best of my ability and used a can of air to get dust out.

Any other suggestions or advice to stop the squeaking would be greatly appreciated!
