canon mx439 cuts the sides off my scans!

I can scan single document by opening lid.

I can scan single document in the top feed.

PROBLEM: When I try to scan multiple documents in the top feed it cuts the sides off the document.

Im using windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

Putting papers in the auto feed and then clicking icon on desktop to auto scan.
