topic iP 7200 printer door malfunction in Desktop Inkjet Printers

Whenever I printed something the printer door would open and the paper support would extend. Lifting and closing the printer door, the support would retract.

First I noticed the support would not extend and pages would fall on the floor. Then when I went to put in a new cartridge, the cartridges would not move to the middle so I could see the one flashing and replace it. When I finally got it to move to the middle and replaced the spent cartridge, I thought it was working again properly. But when I went to close the door, the paper support didn't fold down and I had to do that manually. It felt a bit stiff folding it down. I just printed a test page and the door opened and the support extended normally. But when I go to close the door, the support does not fold down and I have to fold it down manually and it feels a bit stiff. Is something broken I can easilly fix, or do I just have to live with it?
