    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi darlparker,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When new ink cartridges are installed, the printer will automatically detect and update the ink levels; there is not a manual way of resetting the unit to update the ink levels.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may be able to disable the ink level detection function of the printer so that you can continue to use the functions of the printer without receiving the out of ink message.&amp;nbsp; To do this, please press and hold down the STOP/RESET or RESUME/CANCEL button on the printer for at least 7 seconds, then release it.&amp;nbsp; Please note that you will need to perform this function for each ink cartridge that is showing it is low or out of ink.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps!&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This didn't answer your question or issue?
