Print pdf file from usb thumb drive

Hi,

I'd like to print a pdf file from my usb thumb drive to the mx922.

The manual says that only pdf files created by My Image Garden will print.

Is there a way to get a pdf file to print that wasn't made by My Image Garden?

Hello mrmustard,

When using a USB flash drive, the printer will only print PDFs that were created from the Canon software or the operational panel of the printer.

You can insert the flash drive into your computer to print from your computer.

Why can't Canon print pdf files from Acrobat and others?

I do believe that Canon can print PDF files with the help of some PDF toolkits. But do you have any good suggestion about it? I am looking for a fine tool these days. Thanks in advance.

hello, arronlee. you can find a lot of external pdf applications such as Adobe pdf software.

Can some enginer from Canon inform us of the file format please so that we can publish these files aributes so we can duplicate them so they print out on Canon devices?

Also, I would love to find out the techinal details of this.
