    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi dond.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the MF Toolbox in "Selective Startup Mode".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;First, place the computer in "Selective Startup by following the steps below:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;1.&amp;nbsp; Click on Start menu in the bottom left corner of the Windows screen.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;2.&amp;nbsp; Type 'Run' in the Search programs and files window, then select the Run program from the top of the window.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;3.&amp;nbsp; In the Run window type: Msconfig&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;4.&amp;nbsp; Hit enter on the keyboard.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;5.&amp;nbsp; In the System Properties screen, choose 'Selective Start Up'.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;6.&amp;nbsp; Uncheck the box labeled 'Load Start Up Items'.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;7.&amp;nbsp; Click Apply.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;8.&amp;nbsp; Under the Services Tab, click on 'Hide all Microsoft Services' at the bottom of the window just above the OK button.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;9.&amp;nbsp; Click 'Disable All'.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;10.&amp;nbsp; Click Apply.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;11.&amp;nbsp; Click Close.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;12.&amp;nbsp; Restart the computer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;Next, uninstall the MF Toolbox by going to [Start] &amp;gt; [All Programs] &amp;gt; [Canon] &amp;gt; [Canon MF Toolbox 4.9] &amp;gt; [Uninstall].&amp;nbsp; Once you have the Toolbox uninstalled, restart the computer.&amp;nbsp; After the computer has booted back up, install the Toolbox program again.&amp;nbsp; Restart the computer again and then scan a document.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Once you have successfully scanned a document, place the computer back into "Normal Startup Mode by following the steps below:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;1.&amp;nbsp; Click on Start menu in the bottom left corner of the Windows screen.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;2.&amp;nbsp; Type 'Run' in the Search programs and files window, then select the Run program from the top of the window.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;3.&amp;nbsp; In the Run window type: Msconfig&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;4.&amp;nbsp; Hit enter on the keyboard.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;5.&amp;nbsp; In the System Properties screen, choose 'Normal Start Up'.&amp;nbsp; The Services tab automatically returns to the previous settings.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;6.&amp;nbsp; Click Apply.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;7.&amp;nbsp; Click Close.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;8.&amp;nbsp; Restart the computer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I hope that this information is helpful to you.&amp;nbsp; If you need further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666).&amp;nbsp; Have a good day.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>MFToolbox will not open</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I just purchased a&amp;nbsp; MF8280Cw and the install of the drivers went fine. It's when I go to scan that there is an issue, MFtoolbox opens and then closes. I use windows troubleshoot and it tells me the software is incompatible with my computer. I am using a desktop with windows Vista service pack 1 64-bit. I have another laptop running the same thing and everything works perfectly on that machine. I have unistalled and reinstalled both from the disc and the website.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
