what ink cartridges does the Canon PIXMA MX450 use (preferably the high yield)? I can only find info on the MP450 and I am not sure if they use the same ink?

Hi amygirly,

You are probably looking for information on the PIXMA MX452 or PIXMA MX459. Both of these are part of the MX450 series. Click here to view the available supplies and accessories for your printer (the same accessories are used for both printers in the series).

The XL cartridges contain more ink then the standard cartridges and, of course, the XXL have the highest yield.

Easy way to resolve this, I think it well could be the PG240 ink for black and white and color your might be looking at CL241 ink. See if the piece or tab on the ink tank is wide and not narrow, if it is then this is probably correct.
