Mx420 and mountain lion OS problem?

I have a Canon pixma 420 multifunction printer. I recently got a new mac running OS 10.8. After installing the latest drivers and software for the printer, I have been able to print and scan. However, I no longer have acess to a printer que. Also the printer pauses itself after every print and prints a second copy of the previous print when the printer is resumed from the warning box. VERY FRUSTRATING! Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi tobynewcomer,

Please try the following steps to access the print queue in 10.8:

1. Click the Apple Menu.

2. Click System Preferences.

3. Click Print and Scan.

4. Highlight the PIXMA MX420 on the left and click Open Print Queue on the left.

Does this open the print queue?
