MX890 Paper Tray Problem

I have both paper trays filled. When the cassette tray empties the printer will not go to the paper tray in the back automatically. I have the "paper source" set to automatically select.

What can I do to have the printer go to another source when the cassette tray runs out.

Hello.

If you are printing from a Windows computer, you can use the 'Continuous Autofeed' option.

From the Main tab of the Printer Preferences menu, change the Paper Source setting to Continuous Autofeed. This should allow the unit to switch to the next paper source when plain paper is being used.
