MFC 8050 is printing a shadow!

Hello!

My MFC 8050 is printing a shadow when I print anything that contains a color. It's fine when I print in black.

I've run all of the cleaning and adjustment options on the menu.

Any suggestions???

Hi Lisa7Mike!

I know this issue can be frustrating. Since you have been through all of the adjustments and cleanings on the machine and the issue does not happen when printing black and white documents, it indicates that there may be an issue with one or more of the color cartridges. I recommend cleaning the cartridge sensors and contacts.

First, power off and unplug the machine from the wall. Pull out the toner tray and remove the color cartridges. Using a dry, lint-free cloth, clean the silver sensors in the tray and also wipe off the metal contacts of the toner cartridges. Reseat the toner cartridges, plug the machine back in and power it on. Print or copy a color document. If you experience the same issue, we recommend changing the toner cartridges.
