Hi jseymour,

The best way to send a fax to a international number is to use an external handset. A phone can be attached to the phone port on the back of your printer.

Once connected, follow these steps to send your fax:

Press the <FAX> button on the operator panel.
Open the Document Tray and insert the documents face-up on the ADF.
Pick up the handset of the attached telephone and confirm you hear a dial tone.
Dial your international number on the attached telephone.
If you are prompted to enter an access code, dial them on the phone.
When you hear the remote fax machine's high-pitched receive tones, press <Color> to send a color fax or <Black> to send a black and white fax. The audio signal heard from the handset will be cut off.
Hang up the handset.
