Pixma MG5522 stopped putting out any ink half way through page while printing - bottom half blank

My pixma MG5522 was working great printing a page with both black and colored ink. When it came out of the printer only the top half of the page was printed. It was as if all the ink suddenly shut off. It will not print anything including test patterns, copied pages or pages sent from the computer. The printer sounds likes it is printing but absolutely no ink of any color is printed on the page. I've done several cleanings, unplugged all the wires, redownloaded the original dics. Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
