    <description>I would like to know what happened to the windows 10 built in scanner software which used to work and but no longer?&lt;BR /&gt;Did MS, pull their driver ?</description>

      <title>MX490 can no longer scan with windows 10 builtin scan program</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;A week ago, we could scan using the win 10 program, now it says connect a scanner.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Tried uninstalling and reinstal, all win 10 can do now is install this as a fax and printer, not as a scanner.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I downloaded the 388mb canon software suite, and it can scan ok using the printer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We have the printer connected wirelessly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How can I force windows 10 to install this device as a scanner?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Going to settings install, brings up&amp;nbsp;the device, mx490 series (then a long number sequence) for the name, listing as a fax, scanner, printer.
